1. Terms of use

By using the zeyago platform ("we", "us", "the platform") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. We provide a platform that connects you with hotels and car rental providers. We do not own the hotels or cars; we facilitate bookings between you and the relevant provider.

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (name, email, phone, etc.).
  • You must not use the platform for any illegal or fraudulent purpose.
  • We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Hotel booking terms

2.1 Making a booking

When you book a hotel room through zeyago, you enter into a contract with the hotel (the accommodation provider). We act as an intermediary. The booking is subject to the hotel’s own policies as well as these terms. You will receive a confirmation (e.g. by email) with your booking details, check-in and check-out dates, and the hotel’s contact information.

2.2 Payment

Unless otherwise stated, our hotel bookings use pay-on-arrival (or pay at the hotel). You may be required to pay the total or a deposit at check-in. Currency and payment methods are as indicated at the time of booking and by the hotel. We do not process payment for the room; the hotel does.

2.3 Cancellation and changes

Cancellation and modification rules are set by the hotel and shown at booking. You may cancel or change your booking via "My Bookings" or by contacting the hotel or our support. Refunds (if any) are handled according to the hotel’s policy and applicable law. We are not liable for the hotel’s refusal to refund where permitted by their policy.

2.4 Liability

The hotel is responsible for the provision of accommodation, safety, and compliance with local laws. We are not liable for loss, damage, or injury arising from your stay, except where required by law. Disputes about the stay (e.g. room condition, billing) should be raised with the hotel and, if needed, our support.

3. Car rental terms

Car rental bookings are made between you and the car rental provider listed on the platform. We facilitate the booking; we do not own or operate the vehicles.

3.1 Booking and payment

You book for the selected pickup and drop-off dates. Pricing is shown per day (or as stated). Payment terms (pay in advance or on pickup) are as indicated at checkout. The rental provider may require a deposit or hold; details will be in the booking confirmation and the provider’s terms.

3.2 Driver and use

You must hold a valid driving licence and meet the age and other requirements of the rental provider and local law. The vehicle must be used only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the rental agreement. You are responsible for returning the vehicle on time, in the agreed condition, and at the agreed location.

3.3 Cancellation and no-show

Cancellation rules are set by the rental provider and shown at booking. You may cancel via "Car Bookings" in your account or by contacting the provider or our support. Refunds (if any) follow the provider’s policy. No-show may result in charges as per the provider’s terms.

3.4 Damage, loss, and liability

The rental provider is responsible for the vehicle’s condition and their own insurance and liability terms. You are responsible for damage or loss caused by your use or breach of the rental agreement. We are not liable for accidents, theft, or third-party claims arising from the rental, except where we are required to be by law.

4. Privacy policy

We care about your privacy. This section describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

4.1 Data we collect

We collect information you give us when you register, book, or contact us: name, email address, phone number, and (for bookings) stay or rental details. We also collect technical data such as IP address and browser type when you use the platform, and we may use cookies or similar technologies to improve the service and security.

4.2 How we use your data

  • To create and manage your account and to process and confirm your hotel and car bookings.
  • To communicate with you (confirmations, reminders, support, and important updates).
  • To share necessary booking and contact details with the relevant hotel or car rental provider.
  • To improve our platform, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

4.3 Sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as needed with accommodation and car rental partners for your bookings, and with service providers (e.g. hosting) under strict confidentiality. We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, accounting, or safety reasons.

4.4 Your rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us. You may also have the right to object to certain processing, request a copy of your data, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact details are in our Contact Us page.

4.5 Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure; we ask you to keep your password safe and to notify us of any suspected unauthorised access.

5. General

These terms and the privacy section are governed by the laws of Ethiopia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ethiopia. If any part of these terms is held invalid, the rest remains in effect. For questions about these terms or our privacy practices, please use our Contact Us page.
